That means a lot to me, SE. Thanks. All the same, everything I wrote above still boils down to fan fiction, although I hope it's good fan fiction.
Sometimes "going along with it" is a tougher proposition for me, especially if the story goes in a direction that seems needlessly depressing. Juliette's heel turn was one of those directions. Intellectually, I can recognize that a TV show is just a TV show, but emotionally, when I feel the writers are wrecking harm to characters for no good reason other than to "shake things up," I can't help getting aggravated. These people aren't real, but if I was one of the writers, I'd feel it was my responsibility to treat them as if they were.
