Remember at this point Juliette is feeling so betrayed she could care less what happens to them. In fact the more hurt see can inflict the better. The show went to great lengths to provide motivation for Juliette's anger. From everyone rejecting her change and only wanting the old Juliette back. To the one thing that would send any women over the age. Your fiance is having a baby with your worst enemy, and then to have your fiance choose the baby momma over you. After all this It amazes me how so many think Juliette should have been understanding for the child's benefit. Turn the other check is an admiral quality, it is not a realistic response.
We all say things about wanting to do something to someone that has made us mad. Juliette acted on those impulses.
I'm not arguing that Juliette lost in this. What I'm arguing is that, if she had a detailed backstory, like the other characters, she might not come off as the bitch from hell in all of this.
We don't know the extent of Juliette's powers, but I like the idea of a story where she conjures up and plants the fake head, knocks out all of the royals and their guards, releases Kelly in some far off land, and takes off with Diana to raise her as her own child. It's a big naa, naa, naa, naa, naa to Adalind and a kiss old Rose to Nick. Juliette gets even and goes out in style. I can't fault her for wanting to care for Diana. She seemed to get along well with her.
But the fact is, we saw her sitting up in the bedroom, hearing what appeared to be Kelly's death outside, and leaving Diana to face it all. It appears Juliette was too cowardly to finish what she started.
We know Nick's family, Monroe's family, Rosalee's family, even the dweeb Adalind's family. Juliette's family? Never heard of them. Without a family and without a detailed backstory, Juliette is just a disposable character. It's not hard to believe her as evil because we never saw her do enough good to make a difference.
