The wesen of the week plot line is a simply "hunt the bad wesen and protect the good ones". There were some out of the laws situations in that, but I can live with that.
But try to make a list of the worst situations in grimm considering the times Nick was against the law. Almost all of them were related to the royal/keys line: Kenneth death, the royal’s death and the attack of the mansion. Dianna’s kidnapping, Adelaind’s mother death. Even Juliette’s dark destiny was caused by this plot line.
I see it as a fantasy as well, Adriano. My point was that there are elements of reality in the series. Nick is a detective. Detectives exist in real life. As a detective, he would naturally be expected to conform to the parameters of the job. In short, he should act like a detective, uphold the law, his oath, etc.
The argument I was seeing was that this isn't a cop show, it's a fantasy. And so the whole oath and being true to oneself with regard to the oath wouldn't apply.
I disagree. If that were the case, then the writers would have to redefine what they mean when they call Nick a detective so that we know what is outside the realm of a detective and what he must adhere to in order to stay a detective.
Personally, I don't know why the creators just didn't have Nick resign and become a Grimm for hire like Marie and his mother. The whole conspiracy thing between him-Renard-Hank and then lately Wu never made a lot of sense to me.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
