Because of that I have to say that Hexenadler question is really a good one because since you post this thread I am asking myself : why should I see grimm in next season?
Just for background, you may think I am putting to much power in a TV show, but the super heroes almost all of them use American flag colors for a reason... To influence... To pass a message... I have never seeing a spider blue and red, for example. So why don't Spider-Man use those colors?
I like to see TV shows that has a message. A good message. In the beginning, Nick and Monroe friendship, a Grimm and a bludbaden... Historically enemies... They were doing things different. That was one reason. There were others to watch grimm.
But after season 4 what is the message from grimm?
It is a series where the smart people are the bad one. Nick is just a luck guy with no strategy (considering the attack to the royal mansion, for example. ..).
And Nick him self is not the type of hero I would like to inspire my son. The Grimm world view from season 4 ahead is not the one I want for myself.
Sincerely, don't misunderstand me because I really respect your opinion even when I don't agree with you.
I really would like to know why you still watch grimm. Maybe you are seeing something that I am not seeing anymore...
I meant to respond to this right away, but had to leave tonight to run some errands.

Thank you for the cyber support. Your thoughts are very much appreciated!
Adriano.......
I don't mind answering questions about why I don't care for Nick. What I do not appreciate is an inflammatory question, which is geared to bait me. I didn't get any feeling of real interest behind the earlier question, only thinly veiled anger that I have a different opinion.
You were on the right path when you said the writers wrote that Nick was a good guy. The difference here is that they didn't clearly write it, they associated him as a good guy by profession. I can't think of any detective shows on television currently that don't portray detectives as good guys.
As a detective, Nick's supposed to be a good guy. If being a Grimm intereferes with that, the Grimm part of him needs to go south. If he can't stomach that, then he needs to quit the force. He can't be both. The outcomes of the two are on opposite sides of the rainbow.
You already know why I don't like Nick. He's a phony, hiding under an honored and respected profession so he can play bully the wesen. Too wimpy to simply quit, he uses his profession to do things his way, cheating and lying in the process. He violates his sworn oath at any opportunity. I find his character a complete insult to the men in blue.
Why I am questioned for watching the show because I criticize Nick, I'll never understand. I've seen absolutely appalling comments about death for Juliette. As for Renard, who is he if he isn't continually failing Nick? Yet, no one gets comments hurled at them, questioning why they watch the show. In my opinion, their dislike of the main characters, Juliette and/or Renard is no different than my own of Nick.
This next part has nothing to do with our discussion, but the recent posts that claim Grimm is a fantasy.
First of all, the series doesn't take place on Pluto, it takes place in Portland. Secondly, Nick is a detective, not a bladerunner. Those are clear parameters that everyone can associate with reality.
If this is such a fantasy, where anything goes, why is there such outrage of Juliette's refusal to marry Nick? Or her betrayal of Kelly? Why is Renard blasted into the next century for forking Juliette? Why is he condemned for taking a key he returned?
A day or two ago, Grimm was compared to a roadrunner cartoon, in short, a fantasy. So why apply reality to Juliette and Renard, but in the case of Nick, it's fantasy? That's not fantasy that's inconsistency.
Adriano, I would recommend you continue to watch Grimm. I'm going to watch it for at least a while. I find the wesen more empathetic and human than the humans, which is a nice change of pace.
I enjoy discussing other things about the series than just Nick, like the spells and potions. I also respect your opinion and your thoughts are interesting and provocative.
