New Guy
Here's an even more emotionally charged plot, New Guy. Consider Juliette walking into the room while Nick, who was the love her life, and Henrietta are liplocked. This is after Juliette finally gets the courage to tell Nick she is a hexenbiest.
What would Juliette's reaction be? Maybe she might feel like she's been kicked in the stomach?
Then consider Nick's excuse....
"Oh.....HI.....um, Juliette, yes that's right, you're Juliette. Henrietta was just showing me how powerful YOU'RE going to be! It's really not what it looks like because I'm a Grimm and hexenbiests are our enemies! I didn't want to kiss her back, but she MADE me."
Uh huh, yeah sure, Nick. She made you.
If we're going to throw stones at Renard and say he broke Nick's trust, then we also have to consider that Nick broke Juliette's trust in the worst way possible. He couldn't even kiss the 'love of his life' as you call her. Yet he had no trouble falling into Henrietta's arms.
Sexuality and infidelity affects human relations. Some definitions:
Legal Definition of Adultery
According to yourDictionary.com, adultery can be defined as "The voluntary sexual intercourse by a married person with someone other than his or her spouse. The consent of both parties and penetration are required for adultery to exist."
Definition of Infidelity
Infidelity refers to someone being disloyal to another person. For example, committing adultery is an example of infidelity.
Since Nick and Juliette were not married her intercourse with Renard and kenneth were not adultery. If you believe they were in love and wanted to get married (someday) then she did engage in infidelity. If Nick was in his right mind (no drugs or spells altering his decisions) then he also broke fidelity by kissing Henrietta.
Regardless, fidelity is necessary if a couple wants a trusting relationship. Infidelity can destroy relationships. Here are some statistics from http://www.divorce.usu.edu/files/uploads/lesson3.pdf
In the United States, researchers estimate that 40%–50% of all first marriages, and 60% of second marriages, will end in divorce. Age, education and income affect divorce rates. The most common reason given for divorce was “lack of commitment” (73% said this was a major reason). Other significant reasons included too much arguing (56%), infidelity (55%), marrying too young (46%),... Infidelity is one of the leading causes of divorce; it nearly doubles the chance that a couple will get divorced. And even though we live in a sexually tolerant society, still more than 90% of Americans say infidelity is morally wrong.
So in Grimm we have a "face off" caused in part by Renard's relationship with Juliette. Why returning the key he stole from Nick stopped him from pummeling Renard is unclear. Nick may decide to finish the face off with Renard if he discovers that Juliette decided to finish whatever she and Renard had started.
There is also the encounter at the precinct where Juliette wanted to kill Adalind for taking away Nick and being pregnant with his son. I believe Juliette is dead and will not be resurrected, but if that happens, she will want to finish a lot of her homicide attempts. Perhaps a showdown between Adalind and Juliette that is a continuation of the one back at Nick's house, but just as Hexenette is about to rip out Adalind's throat, Diana shows up with purple eyes and uses telekinesis to twist Juliette's head, says "for my Mommy" and snaps her neck then spins her head multi 360's until it rolls across the floor and into a cardboard box.
Ok. I got carried away and off topic. Forgive me.
