@jsgrimm45,
I would like to see a grimm worling for the royals. Imagine this grimm hunting Monroe and Rosalee, for exemple, and Nick hunting the other grimm to help his friends. Imagine the council involved in all this mess... How would this progress? I thinl this view would be interesting.
About the Nick being the good guy or not, I would like to open the focus a leattle. I like superheroes movies, like batman and superman. When I was a child, the first superman (with Christopher Reeve), superman was the GOOD guy. No doubt about that, while Lex Luthor was the BAD guy (almost crazy guy).
If you take the batman from that time, the something happend: the vilains where really vilains and the heroes where really heroes. In the stories told in brazilian television I could see the same: the line between the vilain and the heroe was always very well drawned.
I have noticed a change in this.. Take the last batman trilogy. The name (dark knight) is a indication that this batman is not all good as the superheroes from the past. He is more pragmatic... He is the good guy because his ends are good (protect Gottan City) but he uses almost the same means as the vilains, like hacking all cell phone in the city.
I am using batman as an exemple, but in brazilian tv I can see the same: the line between the good guy and the bad guy is becaming almost invisible... the diferency between them is in the ends they look for, not in the means they use.
I am typing all of this to say that in my opinion grimm is jsut folowing the nowadays tendency: the good guy (Nick) is not the good guy because he follows the law completly, but because the cross the line of the law seeking for a good end (just like the Dark Knight did and others nowadays heroes). This way, I think Nick is the good guy because the writers want him to be, even when he cross the law line.
Just to be clear, I don't like the view of "the ends justify the means" of nowadays heroes. I would prefer Nick being a realy good guy showing that is possible to get to good ends seeking good means. But that is how the stories are being told now.
