"La Llorona"
Mother is weeping
She longs, but they are still gone
She takes what is lost
Children are reaching
They are innocent for now
Innocence is gone
She sacrifices
Her lost shall never return
Weeping endlessly
Heroes come for them
From the darkness, they are redeemed
The lost are still gone
(In my defense. This is my very first attempt at haiku.)
