Another solid ep, good to see more supernatural/superhero elements. I'm starting to have a problem with Coulson, though...he seems to be having an existential crisis about secrets. One the one hand, he's dead set on finding Fury and demanding answers to all the secrets being kept from him and Skye. On the other hand, he's also dead set on protecting the rest of his team from those very secrets. Seems like you cant have it both ways, demanding transparency from others while reserving the right to obfuscation for yourself.
The scientist in me has a problem with the whole Asgard metal being "six times as dense as Earth metal"....a weapon made of such a metal would therefore be six times as heavy, and May wouldn't have been able to brandish Sif's double-sword so fluidly
Also, Fitz seemed remarkably well-prepared to fix a piece of alien technology from a race so advanced as to be almost magical compared to modern Earth technology...
Oh, also, I realized part of the reason I like this show is it has a lot of the same feel as early Stargate SG-1 seasons...its a very similar kind of feel, a plucky Earth team defending the world against unimaginable and vastly more powerful foes from a fantastic universe no one knows about, succeeding with nothing but luck, training, grit, and the occasional help of also-fantastic allies, all while largely keeping the public blissfully ignorant of the various sources of intergalactic doom that threaten them on a weekly basis.
