Why would that matter? The series decided that Adalind should have a baby. It's then decided that Adalind should be separated from her baby. Was it because Adalind on her own searching for Diana was a much more interesting storyarc than Adalind the mother caring for her baby?
Adalind searching for Diana was almost as boring as the Juliette in a coma storyarc.
