First Adalind lost part of what she considered her identity- Hexenbiest-it was a blow to pride-then to his daughter whom she began to love-heart beat-.
I am not one of those who believe that a girl is born wanting to be a mother.
That's the way I saw it too. The loss of her Hexenbiest was the driving force in putting Juliette in a coma. It was so he could lose something valuable to him. That doesn't even factor in her losing Renard and her mother as a result.
Adalind then lost Diana. She could've held a grudge against them forever when she found out they took her but she let go of that when she had Kelly and started to be integrated into the goup. Holding a grudge would'be been detrimental to her and the kids which she knew when she told Nick as much in the hospital.
