Swamp People is set in the bayou/swamp country of Louisiana, those people use one of the strongest accents around. The second most common language spoken here is Spanish. Same goes for New Mexico, South and West Texas, Arizona and Kentucky. People of Cuba have a different accent than most of S America, and people from Spain think they all sound like hicks. I love it. Know it all blowhard knows nothing and gets blown away in the process.

Funny you should say that. I had to correct some of my Hispanic friends whom aren't Mexican exactly like you said, May 5th is not the Mexican Independence Day. And my Cuban friends tell me the Puerto Ricans don't speak Spanish but a twisted form of a dialect with Spanglish. I won't even get in to what my other friend Dominican wife has to say about the Cubans, the Mexican and the puertorriqueño.
When I lived in NY, my old neighbors parents were from Spain. When their mom spoke her Spanish with my mom speaking Italian they could actually carry on a conversation. She told me that most Hispanics here in the USA, didn't speak the proper Spanish.
I know that my Neapolitan accent is different from my proper formal Italian. My German friends also tell me there is a High German and another form of German spoken too. Bavarian's speak a different form of German from the people from the lowlands. I guess we are all victims of dialects.
Looks like some obscure jellyfish didn't diligently read all the replies to the continuing discussion prior to, AGAIN" proceed to place its foot in its mouth, as ususal, AGAIN!
You know the way to expose a a whining barking chihuahua spewing crapp-olla, while thinking they are a pit bull? Is by wishing them to practice what they spew, such as, and I quote:
"The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him".
Please, Please, PLEASE. Practice what you SPEW!
You know you are OLD, when you see the Slide Ruler you used in college selling in an ANTIQUE SHOP!!
