I'm glad though because the last two seasons have been much better than season 1. I wouldn't even classify this as an objectively good show but I like it and have seen every episode. I don't watch it live but I'll discuss the latest episodes later in the week.
Penguin and Riddler are the obvious standouts. Bullock is always good but I find myself getting more interested in Selina's arc. I think she has had a good run on the show and her connection to Bruce makes him more interesting. I like how the show has played up their relationship. I do wish they would've kept the original Ivy around longer so she could make the occasional appearances. She was a good type of weird that fit right in on the show and I liked her friendship with Selina.
One hope I have for the remainder of the season is to make Penguin something other than lovesick. It's gotten so tedious to watch. He's the one that put this show on the map and it's a shame what they have done to him. Being somewhat pathetic has always been part of his character but they've gone completely overboard this season with his unrequited feelings.
I forget what happened to Hugo Strange. He was a pretty good character and it was heavily implied that he played a role in crafting some of the villains in Gotham. The most notable one being Mad Hatter who caused a bunch of havoc in the first half of this season while never running out of rhymes.
It's amazing what they're done with Barbara. She's one of the characters I look forward to seeing the most. I hope she can temporarily gets what she wants because it would make for more entertaining TV as far I'm concerned. Especially with Penguin being so pathetic this season.
Ooops, you were right. Don't why I titled it season 2. Had a "senior moment" I guess. It's correct now.
