I would say the Steinadler is fiercely loyal if he or she is in a military world. Don't know why but to me they are highly intelligent; more so than some other Wesen types. Which can make them dangerous. Probably find an above-average percentage in leadership positions. Or close to power.
But there appears to be a streak of the maverick there also, because Farley crossed a line when he became engaged to a Grimm. And he did it at a time when it was especially verboten; Nick's milieu was a little more tolerant. So look to that type of Wesen to do the unexpected.
Perhaps a little too single-minded at times, leaning toward the obsessive, but fearless in pursuit of a goal.
Can't think of specifics, but I had the overall impression that both Chavez and Kolt were unwaveringly fair-minded. Tough, but solid in their psychological constitutions. And yes, pretty darned self-contained. May be that they are that way because they are very prone to over-identify to others' pain.
There are groups of Wesen that produce an exaggerated number of scurrilous sorts and groups that are of a kind of passive or ordinary good citizen types, and groups that are more likely to actively serve and generally do the right thing. Since the Steinadler is my favorite Wesen, I place them squarely in the latter group.
