The problem with Juliette being possessed rather than just influenced is that we've already seen characters who've had no control over their actions. Nick, Hank, Sean, and Rosalee have all in one form or another committed acts or behaved in a way that they weren't conscious of at the time. We know they weren't themselves because they weren't even conscious of what they had done and had to be told by the group.
This didn't happen with Juliette. The Hexenbiest was a strong presence but she was at the least conscious of everything she was doing. Hexenette wouldn't have done the things she did if she wasn't Juliette.
Another problem I have with Juliette not being Juliette anymore because she became a Hexenbiest is what happened with Adalind. Adalind didn't stop being Adalind when she ingested Nick's blood. The lack of a Hexenbiest didn't erase her identity. I think this combined with the addition of Elizabeth and Henrietta has given us contradictory info about Hexenbiests.
