Don't lamblast me here, but I don't see Kelly being any different than the wesen the maiden killed or the victims the frog girl touched. Yes, I know, she was Nick's mother, but I look at that as in name only. I would have been horrified if Juliette had participated in Marie's death. She was the real mother to Nick in my opinion. I liked Kelly, but she was not a beloved character in the series. The series got along fine without her and still does.
I understand Nick's outrage at her death, but I don't understand his reaction to Juliette. She is a victim, and he's dealth with many. Yet he conveniently forgets that. Nick can show all this deep compassion for Adalind. It just seems strange he can't summon even a little regret for what happened to Juliette.
You've forgotten to mention the neighbors who were slaughtered by the Verrat on the same night. Kelly was a Grimm, and in a sense, a soldier of war. A soldier wrongfully betrayed and murdered, but a soldier all the same. Nick's neighbors, on the other hand, were innocent civilians, and so far, the show has conveniently ignored that ugly little fact.
