However, living one's life, didn't take away what Grimms were destined to do (according to the finale) and that was to fight off evil, no matter what. Her dead spirit or whatever she was reminded him of his mission when he'd just about given up and was desperate to have his friends and family back. Not even cancer or a lifetime of retirement stopped Marie and Rolek from doing what was in their nature to do.
No one said she didn't. I merely said her regrets were minor in comparison to her choice to be a Grimm. She loved being a Grimm and wouldn't give it up.

Of course she was because being a Grimm is first and foremost on her mind. She was supposed to be guiding, according to her, a child whose destiny could have been for good or for evil. This wasn't some human baby, she knew it was a child of extraordinary powers. Yet, instead of guiding, she takes it upon herself to bring the child into danger. It only goes to show that Kelly loved being a Grimm more than anything else, even tending to the destiny of a child she kidnapped.
Elizabeth did much more than just show up a few times when Renard needed help. Her life was in just as much danger as Kelly's. Yet she did not abandon her son and cry "woe to me, I have regrets". Instead, she took charge and brought him to the states. Renard is an extremely intelligent man, so no doubt he has been able to take advantage of some very good schools. While I believe he could have fought for the throne and probably won it with the scheming skills he has, he really showed little interest in the royals and in the end, managed to outlive them.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
