Facts about Renard:
- I still suppose Sean stayed for a good time in Vienna because there he had an affair with Mia Gaudot, another royal.
No one is really responding to this topic any longer, but I thought I would post my two cents because this is a very interesting point. According to the article, Sean and Mia had a relationship that spanned years. It's never revealed why they parted company, but she apparently takes the blame for their relationship going south as she was concerned Sean might be angry at her for something that happened in the relationship. She didn't approve of the way Sean's family treated him, and wanted him to return to Vienna. I would have liked to have learned more about her. It seems possible that she might have been the only woman Sean loved.
My only criticism of this episode is the lame story arc involving Mia's true purpose for coming back to Portland; to murder Monroe for befriending Nick. This was supposed to be a lesson to other wesen about the hazards of being a Grimm's pal. Apparently Rosalee befriending Nick and her contact with the wesen council wasn't a big enough lesson. I know this had not come out in season two, but still, I think it would have made for a much better story. Then there was Bud, who also befriended Nick. Apparently he was inconsequential.
But back to Mia. She was from a different house of royals, and lived in Austria. She also knew of the way Sean's family/relations treated him. That tells me that at the very least, the royal house to which she belonged intermingled with the house Sean belonged to. It's also apparent that Sean never revealed his mistreatment to her, but she found out another way. She wouldn't have brought it up had she known otherwise.
Sean left Austria with his mother when he was a boy, yet he did go back often enough to keep up his affair with Mia, among other things.
While I think Mia wanted Sean back on her terms, she also asks him if he's ever coming back to Vienna, to his rightful place. I wonder what that rightful place might have been.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
