I'm Catholic. The only people in the Church who wear rings are clergy. Priests, bishops, nuns, etc.. Symbol of their devotion to God. A lay man does not wear a ring, that would be sacrilegious since they have not taken Holy Vows. (Married people are the exception. THEY have also taken Holy Vows, each to the other.)
