I am one of those people, lol. But I also need to keep in mind that this episode is not really telling us much about Mitchell's character, and it certainly doesn't spotlight the type of friendship he had with Kirk. From what I see it appears these two are on opposite sides of the spectrum, except when it comes to women. There had to be more to their friendship than that.
I'm in agreement that Dr. Dehner is on the delusional side when talking about a mutated man equating to a better human. It would seem she's talking about Mitchell, but I wondered if she was really thinking about herself. I thought it odd that Mitchell asked her how she felt, and knew she was lying when she said she fell and "nothing happened".
