In the 1st season, we might have seen Juliette more on the screen than Adalind, but like rp said, she was just a house decoration for Nick to come home to.The comments you quoted don’t suggest that Juliette was or should have been the central character, but rather, that she and the other supporting characters were just that - supporting characters with histories limited to only what a particular storyline might require. The only issue being discussed is that those limited character profiles often leave gaping holes that viewers attempt to reconcile with the characters’ behavior.
Again, as a reminder to the "Juliette Fans". The show central character is not Juliette, it's Nick. Given the order of actors hired for the show, is more proof, to support my opinion, she wasn't the central character, nor a secondary supporting one.
Have your tantrum episodes about how she was written as a character all you want, these are the facts. JULIETTE WAS NOT THE MAIN CHARACTER, CAPISCE?.
However, I do think G & K considered Juliette more pivotal to the show than your response suggests. Juliette was written as a too powerful Hexenbiest to later be relegated to an Adalind-type bad guy role. And instead of killing her off, G & K reinvented the character then neutered her into a less powerful Hexenbiest so she could rejoin Nick’s group.
