If he did not consider Renard to be an important part of BC he would not have been there. Lucian was either killed in the attack or considered less important than Renard. Bonapart certainly was not afraid of being stabbed in the back by someone who was a commited card carrying member of BC.
On the other side of the coin, why would Bonaparte need to show a card carrying vested member of BC their success? If one is so immersed in their belief of the organization, wouldn't that be readily apparent without proof? Bonaparte wasn't particularly thrilled with Renard during that episode to begin with. When Renard shot Meisner, Bonaparte told him his compassion was dangerous to them all. It may have been a test for Renard all along, just to see how far he'd go.
