Oh henry, it has nothing to do with whether I want to believe her or not. It has to do with *Nick* believing her. If he did, the natural response is, "I love you too".
It was not. Instead, he blabs to Monroe that he slept with Adalind.
Robyn brought up a good point in that Nick really has no reason not to believe Adalind. However, maybe Nick cannot help himself. Maybe, as rpmaluki states in the recent Juliette thread, his DNA is to blame.

Exactly, what good does it do Adalind or the maybe future relationship that Nick believed Adalind? And why would she need to lie about loving Nick, or have sex with him (other than physical gratification without the use of bob)? Nick was already taking care of her without asking for anything in return. Nick was satisfied knowing his son was loved and nurtured around the clock, he didn't have any further expectations of Adalind.
Thanks, Robyn. Your points are good ones. Adalind hasn't any reason to lie about loving Nick. But I don't know why she would love him as there's been nothing I've seen to give her cause. He made sure she and his son were safe. I'm not saying she shouldn't be grateful, but that's a completely different emotion than love.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
