What was the ratio of Grimms to wesen, is it now lower or higher we don't know only from season 1 episode one Aunt Marie Nick was one of the last Grimms, but we know after that they change how Grimms came into being not by inherited but by genes. We know that there were 5 Grimms we seen, show up in Portland alone.
The question was IF in the natural world, grimms are being weeded out because they've outlived their evolutionary usefulness. That is a bit different than what you are saying.
But, in answer to your question, let me point out a couple of things to start.
First,you say Trubel worked with two grimms. She did, but they were not in Portland. Right?
Since the fantasy focuses on Portland, let's just look at it, with its 2 million people, which includes the surrounding areas.
The only grimms the series ever came up with as coming into that territory were Kelly, Marie, and Trubel. Kelly and Marie were transients and I got they impression neither was ever going to stay in Portland. Marie immediately solved all of that by dying.
As for Trubel, we don't know if she lived within the Portland boundaries or as a transient, just happened to wander into the area. But Trubel has made it plain she's a transient, so after spending some time with Nick and Juliette, she left and only comes back on occasion.
So the only grimm at present is Nick. The odds are easier to quote on this one;
1 versus 2 million.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
