It just became a monster-hunting show which was still good but not what it was before when you see the fairytale influence clearly. The Cinderella episode was definitely one of the better episodes. I also liked the feud between Bauernschwein and Blutbaden. It was the interpretation of the fairytales that originally drew me into this show. I loved the idea of not knowing how my old favorite stories would play out. There was an element of mystery and even originality it. They show has always been creative but I wished for a more upside down fairytale world than what we ended up with. Things like Renard needing to take a potion to make him "pure" so he could give a twisted "true love's kiss" to a sleeping Juliette are some of the little details I enjoyed a lot at the beginning that quickly fell away by season 2.
In addition, the little tidbits we got concerning famous stories told in the past being influenced by the wesen world. Such as The Jungle Book and Rudyard Kipling being a Grimm.
