Why didn't Nick just set them up somewhere in the first place instead of shacking up. That was the initial plan in S4 then suddenly in S5 Nick is like he has no place else to take them. Unless he's the old fashioned guy who believes if you knock someone up you should 'do right by them' by trying to forge a relationship.
Nick had a option to not stay with Adalind and Kelly if he wanted.
Now he also seems open to the idea of staying with Renard's kid as hinted in later episodes to come. He went ballistic after Renard took his son. Shockingly he was telling Adalind to stay put at Renard's together with 'his son'
I agree with the person who called Nick a jerk in the other thread.
