Hmmm... I deplore men who brutalize women and have a special way of handling such individuals in my private life. That being said, I am not sure I have seen anything misogynistic in Meisner. It seems to me he holds women in high regard, as being as fully capable as a man, and treats them like men, not as women or ladies.
Maybe it i s my lack of understanding as to what the term misogynistic means. I look at him as a mercenary who has no problem slapping around and brutalizing women; he probably views it as an act of kindness. I just saw no indication he thought women were less than men and I thought that thinking women were subservient, less important, or inferior then men was misogynistic behavior.
To your point, seeing women battered sickens me, even on screen.
