I agree. We view the show according to our own morals. My biggest issue with the writing is Nick himself and his willingness to compromise his own principles over and over again. What I am talking about is his principles as a policeman. A lot of people view this as a fantasy so in their eyes it doesn't apply, but to me Nick's primary responsibility is to protect the innocent. He does not do that, but instead ignores that law enforcement principle and is judge, jury and executioner. Anything after that, Juliette, Adalind, the rest of the scoobies is just chunk change in my opinion. A man who compromises his own principles could give two rats' patoots for anyone else.
What seems to be so odd in my opinion is the show's low opinion of law enforcement. At a time when law enforcement is coming under great scrutiny, and sometimes for reasons that have nothing to do with them, the show seems to take great pains in taking pot shots at law enforcement in general. It's not only Nick, but his cronies, Sean, but now the North Portland precinct.

The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
