In the scenes with Diana and the dolls. She is not controlling their actions. She is like Conrad. She plants an idea in the persons head. Remember Sean stabbed Conrad in the back Diana stuck the pin in the front of the doll. Because she can only plant ideas and not take control. Adalind is able to realize her actions are not her own. Like she told Sean does he really think she would jump into bed with him. The idea was to stab Conrad. The how was left up to Sean.
