I'm not looking for a happy ending, no such thing exists in modern television. However, that doesn't mean we must be bombarded with bad writing at every turn. If couples are going to have challenges, that's par for the course, the biggest problem I had with Juliette and Nick is that I felt there was never any payoff for all the misery the writers piled on them since Nick turned Grimm. It made me dislike them as characters. I became too exasperated just watching them struggle season after season because we weren't given enough time to enjoy their highs before plunging them into lows lower that the last.
I felt so bad for Juliette, I wanted her to tell Nick dueces and move on with her life, just so she could have a peace of mind for once.
I wanted Nick to find someone that understood the new Grimm Nick instead of holding on to their happier times when things were "normal", mind you juliette didn't reveal how deeply she felt about Nick being a grimm until he lost his abilities and Nick wanted to give in to the long gone fantasy of normalcy, thinking it was the answer to their problems but that was superficial at best and we saw what happened when they both realised that he couldn't pretend to be the same person from before, too much in their lives had changed. Love is a wonderful thing but between these two, it wasn't enough. They had too many problems the writers failed to resolve in a manner that satisfied me as a viewer. I was cheering for their break up by 2A long before things really turned to **** because I knew where that ship was steering (a dead end) and couldn't support it any longer.
