Yes I like a good "surprise." Monroe enjoys delivering a surprise, like how he pounced on Nick when they first "met." He also goes all out at Halloween to "trick" the kiddies before they get their treat.
In the pilot episode we get a a quick surprise. When the girl got "blind-sided," I jumped. Per Grimm Wikia:
