Either David was flat-out lying, or that particular story hasn't materialized yet.
I always thought it was a little weird how Juliette placed the blame for her transformation squarely on Nick and his friends, but conveniently left Elizabeth out of the picture. I was hoping season 5 was going to address this plot hole, but alas, it seems the writers are in too much of a hurry to establish new arcs and characters to bother wrapping up multiple loose ends.
Hmmmm....very good point! I could see Nick going after Elizabeth. She's the one that started all of this. She wanted to see the downfall of the Royals. It happened and now they're fractured. Thus, probably is what caused the uprising and the creation of HW. She never told Juliette what the side effects of the spell was going to be. And let's be honest, she knew because she knew there WAS going to be side effects. And when those happened, it crushed Nick, and kind of sidelined him to deal with that problem. Thus, taking him out of the way because he was focused else where.
So why is she doing this? Well, with the BC and HW fighting each other and Nick and the scoobies forced into the mix, the Royals are weakened and she could easily overthrow them and declare herself Queen. I also believe that she has Diana to which she is going to be instrumental in overthrowing the Royals considering how powerful she is. Her biggest problem is going to be Nick if he discovers her plan. That this was all a setup from the word GO.
That would be an interesting twist to the story line. But in overthrowing the Royals, IMO her more likely goal would be in trying to make Sean king. Her ultimate revenge. Not only did she overthrow the Royals and help kill the king who let the former queen hunt her and her son around the world, but she gets to her 'bastard' son, who they all tried to kill sitting on the throne!! Sweet revenge!!
See, I was thinking that way at first, but the more I thought about Renard becoming King, the more I thought against it. If Elizabeth were to overthrow the Royals to get her son seated as the King, then Renard would have to leave Portland and go to Austria and leave the Police Force and all political possibilities. Also, it would take him away from the scoobies.
Plus, Elizabeth is selfish enough to take it all for herself. She would take the seat as Queen then possibly talking to Renard to get him ready to take her place. But, Renard may want nothing to do with that and that he's happy with his life in Portland. Causing a rift between the two.
