@syscrash and others. As a person who has been in recovery and knows alcoholics and addicts well, I can tell you that Hexenette's behavior was not that of a person who was embracing their "new self" but rather that of an addict.
As their addiction worsens they do exactly the kind of things that Juliette did. They burn bridges, engage in self-destructive behavior, lose their moral compass and push away friends and family who are trying to help them.
It is a path followed with sad predictability by virtually every addict and usually ends in only one of two places. An institution or the graveyard.
It looks like Juliette - Eve has been 'institutionalized' by HW.
