Fast forward to pretty girl in distress. Key words here: he *will* save her.
Again, it's a weakness in the character.
I enjoyed season 3, PTZD when Nick wants to confess to the murder of the man in the bar when he was a zombie. Renard tells him are you upset because you killed a man, or because he wasn't Wesen? Nick never answers that question. The next episode "A dish served cold" Nick prevented Monroe and the Blutbadin from killing the chef at the Raven and Rose and prepetuating the Bauerschewein-Blutbadin feud.
Nick seems to find it easier to be a cop when he's not personally the victim. Season 4 seemed to feature events that were personal to Nick and takes a vengence attitude toward killing his own mother. Not so much if the victim is a friend of Monroe's unknown to Nick personally.
