No new Grimm shows until October, so we watcher 1.1 and 1.2 last night. It was much more understandable as a re-watch. I was particularly disgusted by Renard sending Adalind to the hospital to kill Marie. When Nick sees Renard at the police station he asks about the video evidence and hides his betrayal of Nick like some criminal.
I expect that re-watching every episode will reveal more of what a villain Renard is. It will not surprise me if we learn Renard was fundamental in the deaths of both Kelly and King Fred. He stops at nothing to advance his self-serving agenda. He has no regard for laws, morals or ethics.
Grimm has provided several entertaining fight scenes. I also hope we will be treated to the "mother of all beatdowns" when Nick avenges his loved ones that Renard has violated.

LOL...really, that is your take? Do you recall that Nick is a new kind of Grimm, one who supposedly thinks before he beheads? Aunt Marie and Kelly were not exactly noted for their tolerance of wesen, and Truble, beheads and then orders a sandwich.
Remember Bud's, Monroe's and Rosalee's innate reaction, do you think that is because Grimm's are noted for their tolerance and compassion?
My point is, I think trying to take out a Grimm is very wise for any wesen in a community. Remember Monroe said Grimms are what wesen parents use to scare their children into good behavior. the irony here is Nick may very well substantiate the stereotype and undo all the good work he had previously done and set back Grimm-wesen relations to the stone age.
