Thanks for your comment. It is true that Nick and Juliette had not married. However they had expressed to each other love and commitment. Nick had proposed marriage. Juliette did not accept, but the relationship continued. In Nick's mind and heart he was "married" to her. They had a level of trust beyond that of some people who continue in"bad" marriage.
Renard was fully aware of the love and trust between Nick and Juliette. Renard had a duty to respect Nick and his relationship with Juliette. Renard betrayed Nick and disgraced himself as his boss. Renard has no honor and cannot be trusted. Same for Juliette the hexenbiest.
Yours Grimmly,

New Guy, I believe you were the one who stated you have been married for 38 years. If so, congratulations! Not only is that an accomplishment in it's own right, but it is a legally recognized union in accordance with the law.
Nick and Juliette probably did express their love at one time with the intent to commit to one another. Or they may just have been playing house and conning each other for the five years we saw them. Perhaps at the time of Juliette's transformation, they shrugged and realized they were simply became room mates, nothing more.
But the fact remains. If Juliette wants to pack up and leave, she's free to do so. If Nick wants to fork Adalind, he can. He's not cheating on Juliette because he's not committing adultery. He can tell her that any day of the week and there's nothing she can legally do about it. If Renard and Juliette want to get together for a quick one, they can. They're consenting adults with no legal ties to anyone else. Nick cannot stop her, nor can he turn around and dissolve their union legally because there was no union to begin with.
Sorry, I don't think fidelity must be measured only by law means.
Besides that, Tiffany we talk about Sean there is no law for friendship.
If Sean was Nick friend he should never have sex with Juliette. If Sean was not Nick friend, he the not trustable and he is a very fake person.
Hello Grimmsters,
Adriano sees the point I am making. Thanks, I was feeling lonely.
Irukandji, thanks for your comments. My darling wife introduced me to the Grimm TV show. It is one of the things we enjoy together.
In Nick's mind and heart he was "married" to Juliette. Her failure to control her hexenbiest destroyed what would have been the most significant relationship ever to come into her life. Her violent acts of hatred concluded in her death. Even as she died, Nick held her in anguish at his loss. He loved Juliette, but hated what she had become.
Sexual promiscuity is a hexenbiest trait. Renard took advantage of Juliette’s derangement. His poor judgement and lack of control were a detestable betrayal of Nick.
If your daughter got hacked off at you and went to move in with your boss would you expect him to:
1. Call you to come over and take her back home, or
2. Jump in bed with her for a jolly good romp?
So he selects 2. Is he worthy of trust? Is he honorable?
Now replace “daughter” by wife, then fiancée, then significant other.
At the point a man and woman enter a “significant” relationship their romance needs to be exclusive. Otherwise it is doomed to fail.
