In addition it seems as though all of sudden Diana has aged 5 years in a matter of a couple months which makes literally no sense. I really hope next week has some great cliffhangers.
I thought they already mentioned in an episode a long while back that Diana was special and not growing at a normal human pace? Also, the contents of the box wasn't supposed to be a surprise for the audience.
The most disappointing part of the episode for me was how Kelly died. I was expecting Juliette to be the one to do it because she should have been one of the few individuals capable and to add to her resume of evil and further solidify her new role as Nick's arch nemesis. To simply be taken out by some goons (even with their new bad ass leader in the fight) seems like such an ordinary way for a Grimm to go. But in this case, I won't fully blame the writers. The script was severely compromised by the actress not showing up. They could have at least shown a pile of dead bad guys in the family room to show she put up a better fight than the sound effects indicated.
More questionable writing though: Kelly should have known it might have been a trap and shouldn't have fallen into it so easily in the first place. And why didn't Diane use her powers to help? She was right there in the house. They made it clear how powerful she was as a baby last year, and her "mother" was being attacked.
