Actually, I can’t see Nick with the S6 Juliette because I can’t see him with any woman who doesn’t need him as protector/provider. So cringe, no. Relief that G & K didn’t further revert Eve into Juliette for the show’s happily ever after ending, yes.
There’s not any exaggeration, Henry, because exaggerating isn’t necessary. When looking at Adalind’s S3 - S4 storyline, her single commitment to Nick and mothering his son in S5 is a complete contradiction to her previous determination and tenacity in protecting Diana and keeping them together.
If Adalind believed even asking Meisner/the Resistance for help would put Kelly in danger, why would she later take him to an enemy that’s as threatening and violent as the Royals? Why wouldn’t she instead leave Kelly with the man she loves and his trusted friends? How exactly would the Resistance attempting to gather intel on Diana been more of a threat to Kelly than taking him to live under the control and whims of Bonaparte?
In the scene where Adalind debates going to the BC house, she only wavers between taking Kelly from Nick or leaving him behind. She doesn’t debate which decision keeps Kelly the safest. And if Adalind’s lack of action with Diana was about keeping Kelly safe, wouldn’t her choice between leave Kelly with a Grimm and his loyal Blutbad, Fuchsbau, and two human police officers and Bonaparte, Renard, and BC agents been an easy decision?
