I think Adalind's blood is just the "fuel" that would power the knot to kill if one of them broke their promise.

Normally, I would agree. The thing that caught my attention first was when Adalind asked Renard if he was familiar with the spell. That, in my opinion, was an odd question.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.

When we saw her again in S04, she really didn't seem able to do all that much more than she could as an infant (levitate small objects, create illusions of herself and make skulls appear in hot coffee and window reflections). This despite the fact that she matured from infancy to the apparent age of five in only a year. The King mentioned how fast Diana grew in S04. However, his prissy remark when Adalind appears probably says he cares a lot more than he'd like to admit. Renard (when Adalind appears moments later): “You really get around, don’t you?” Nick and Adalind were alone in fome waiting for Renard so I guess Nick was rubbing in what they were doing to Sean saying "she didn't turn me down". Sean says “You really get around, don’t you?” to Adalind suggesting that Adalind and Nick had sex at the fome just before which is very likely correct. Nick was washing his hands in the bathroom at the beginning of the scene. Nick's comment was bad idea now that he is sending Adalind back to Renard.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.

With Adalind's power back and Diana in the house with an established track record of killing people who hurt her mom, it's probably more dangerous for Sean than it is for Adalind. There appears to still be plenty of breakables that can be sent flying toward Sean's head.

You are right on the blood to fuel the magic. We have seen in other seasons, for a powerfu magic done by hexens, they usually use thier blood to seal the final cast of the magic. It seems blood is the final ingredient for most powerful magic they cast.

Strangely enough, I don'r think Nick has ever reacted very strongly to Adalind's woges. Back when they hated each other's guts, she would woge at him and he would just insult her.
I think Adalind was just waiting for the right moment to come out and decided that Nick's remark about her choosing him over Sean was the perfect cue. Nick and Adalind would probably like to make a hobby out of humiliating Sean whenever they can. I think offset, they had a passionate kiss/hug/miss you moment before Hank and co arrived. But you know, anything is possible at the heat of the moment of missing each other. I guess there is a deleted scene here which likely we will get to see when the DVD is out. He took her woge real well. He was concentrating on Renard and deep eye contact on him while Adalind did her thing. As I said before, our boy Nick has evolved. He has embraced mixing in the supernatural without judgement as his ancestors did. Adalind also played a big part in this, she made him realise as they were together that not all Hexens are whom the Grimm books & history explained them to be. Another conversation from Adalind I liked. Shows how close and trust level she has with/for her lover Nick. It also points out how close she is with Rosalee. Seems like they will become besties.... the creative team really pointed out Adalind relationship status with that. |
