She showed independent thinking in that situation choosing Diania and Kelly over Nick yet you still criticize her . She’s far from stupid, nieve and childish at times but certainly not stupid but she obviously was no match for Boneparte or Black claw so how else would she get Diania without going to the mansion. Adalind was certainly an Einstein compared to the dumbass Juliette you describe not knowing about Kelly’s death in season 4.The way you describe Juliette makes her appear extremely dumb so I wouldn’t go around throw bricks at glass houses if I were you. This is exactly what I mean. You credit her with independent thinking, yet in your very next statement you again describe how so terribly helpless she is as, "she was obviously no match for Bonaparte or Black Claw". How would you know? An attempt was never made. She had Nick. She had the scoobies. She's a hexenbiest. There are three things in her favor. This is the woman who was thrown out by the royals. She went into the lions' den of the Portland PD, got Nick's attention, offered a spell in return for protection, and managed to get Nick's and the scoobies' alliance for her trouble. Now all of the sudden, she "was obviously no match for Bonaparte or Black Claw"? Really, henry? I think you coddle the character too much.

I only questioned the logic behind taking Kelly to such a nefarious group when he would have been safer with Nick and his friends. I never thought Adalind should have gone to begin with. I know Diana was being held up as the prize, but Diana was kept from her for years. Adalind should have been saavy enough to know she'd never easily get her child back.

Boneparte was very powerful and had a large army Renard was teffied of Boneparte as he was the 3rd most powerful charecter on the show, Boneparte destroyed Eve who terffied Adalind and had hundreds of men at his disposal, tell me what you would have Adalind do in that situation or are you really that nieve. She wouldn’t have got Diania back if she had of gone to Nick and the scobbies for help and stayed with Nick, Renard and Black claw would have tried turn Diania against her.

Do you really believe Diana could be turned against her own mother? Don't forget, Diana remembers things from infancy, one of them was Kelly. I've no doubt she remembered the danger her own mother went through to get her out of the country.

If they convinced Diania that her mother didn’t care for her and that’s why she won’t come and visit her, I could see them turning Diania against Adalind yes especially if her father was also minipulating her against her mother. She is a little girl after all and can be manipulated under the right circumstances.

But then, I think she should have had that same urgency when believing the Royals had Diana. Of course, I think she should have had qualms over falling in love with one of the kidnappers and livid when learning Meisner had Diana all along. He might have refused to hand her over, but at least Adalind would have known Diana was safe from the Royals. Henry, I know we clarified you weren’t responding to me. But. I agree with irukandji on this. Adalind has more often than not been her worst enemy, causing more problems for herself when trying to get out of a current predicament. But Adalind has never been helpless, she was always on her own when in a jam, and through luck and tenacity managed to survive. While Adalind was helpless to stop Kelly from taking Diana, she immediately sprung into action. She was willing to return to Viktor knowing he might kill her, and had sex with one of the kidnappers because she believed it would result in getting to live with Diana at the castle. Adalind told Kelly they’d have to kill her before taking Diana. Renard told Kelly that Adalind would never willingly give up Diana. That’s not a helpless woman who can’t do anything on her own. But that is how G & K characterized her while with Nick - sleep with me because I’m afraid of things that go bump in the night.

I felt that, instead of a tacky disappearing ink letter, Adalind should have been upfront with Nick about what happened. She should have enlisted the help of the scoobies. She did it before. She could have done it again. If she decided to go, at least they all would have been in on it. The other thing about this episode that would have worked greatly in Adalind's favor was the way Bonaparte and Renard viewed her. They also looked at her as being of no threat to them. I was ticked about that at first, but it could have been used as a means to defeat them. I also felt Adalind's distinct lack of interest regarding where Diana's been these past two years was a very strange thing as well. In any case, Kelly should have never gone with her.

Nick told Adalind they already suspected Renard was working with BC and that she should let him know if Renard contacted her again, then rolled over and went back to sleep. I’m thinking at that point Adalind realized she was on her own. I don’t agree with Adalind choosing to take Kelly to BC, at all. And would have preferred that she dropped Kelly off with Rosalee and told her what she was about to do and why, then taken off for the BC house before Nick could intervene - if she still thought he might would. Actually, I wish it had been written that Nick and Adalind were more proactive in countering threats from Renard & BC even if the story still ended up with Adalind and Kelly at the BC house. At least that way both would have made a concerted effort to prevent escalation instead of just rolling with the flow as it happened.
