More books from Grimm - FräuleinWunderlich - 03-20-2014

I found some "new" books from Grimm
First there is comming a third novel,Grimm - The Killing Time by Tim Waggoner on 09/30/14

http://www.amazon.com/Grimm-Killing-Time-Tim-Waggoner/dp/1781166587/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1395327370&sr=1-1&keywords=grimm+killing+time

Next I found a new magazine, which came out on 03/11/14 named as Grimm: Below the Surface : The Insider's Guide to the Show

http://www.amazon.com/Grimm-Below-Surface-Insiders-Guide/dp/1782760458/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1395327308&sr=1-1&keywords=grimm+below+the+surface

And last but not least, Grimm - Aunt Marie's Book of Lore. I don't know if we talked about this wonderfull colored book in GrimmForum. It shall be pretty nice and you can see a lot of Wesen into it.

http://www.amazon.com/Grimm-Aunt-Maries-Book-Lore/dp/1781166536/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1395327208&sr=8-7&keywords=Grimm

Looks like we have enough to read, even if the comics won't be renewed.

Edit: for german Grimmster; ihr findet alle Bücher auch beim der deutschen AmazoneWink

RE: More books from Grimm - Hyndara - 03-20-2014

Oh, wow! Killing time I'd written about last month, and I was the one asking the Writers what the Below the Surface-book is (and got the answer, it would be a German version of the magazines - ya, whoever is working this account, I'm not a fan ...). Actually, I just got the mail from amazon, that my issue "Below the Surface" is on it's way and should arrive my place tomorrow Big Grin. At least something I can look forward to.
About "The Killing Time"'s writer, Tim Waggoner. He's not as experienced as Passarella is but has definetely a better resumee than my beloved writer from the first novel. If there are Stargate-fans around, knowing about the Fandy-novels, Waggoner wrote one for SG-1 and this one had very mixed reviews (I haven't read it yet as I lost my interest in everything Stargate a while ago right before I wanted to read the novel. Maybe I will try it during this summer with the thought of how Waggoner will probably do Grimm).

Here we go. My review for Below the Surface:

Worth it or not?

Thanks for your review.Well, it makes my decision not easier. Buy to mags with shipping costs or buy Below the surface without shipping costs but haven't all...

RE: More books from Grimm - Hyndara - 03-24-2014

Well, they mostly skipped the cast-interviews from the first mag (which was all about season 1 till up to 2.07), if that makes your decision easier. What disappointed me is, that they also skipped the interview with Richard Marvin (componist) from mag #2 - but I might understand why they did that. Music isn't simply that acknowledged than the make up or CGI-stuff.
What I think is VERY ironic is that they put the interview with the old writers-team in the book. True, there were also a few answers from Alan (diFiore) and Dan (Fesman) but it was mostly handled by the wrtiers, which are gone now (Akela, Spiro, David and Richard).
Also, they skipped the interview with Norberto. True, it's a very vague and professional one (aka he gave a little insight on the director's work), while they kept the one with Dave (Greenwalt) and Jim (Kouf) - also missing is the one with Sean (Hayes) and Todd (Milliner).

OTT:
Talking 'bout the writers ... was that me last night or did whoever was online with the Writers-account at Twitter did a lesson for the two interested (fanfic) writers? I thought it was kind of weird that I was still mentioned, even after I got the answer to my question. Was that Jim? Somehow ... don't know why, but it "sounded" a bit like him as he's doing such lessons.
