Happy New Year: Upcoming Changes This Weekend - GrimmForum - 01-18-2020

Happy New Year Grimm Forum Members!

This weekend, the site will be going through an update. As a result, it could be down for about 24 hours. Once the updates are finished, the site will look different. I won't be able to bring back the old design. For those that will miss the old design can always look back and see the archived version of it at https://archive.org.

Please know that over the next few days after the update, I may need to adjust things here and there, so there may be more changes.

Once all the updates are finished, I will continue to commit keeping this site up for at least another year. But over the next year, I was wondering if there are regular members here that would be interested in helping me archive the discussions on this site so that if I need to close the forum one day, the discussions will still be online and available for viewing to Grimm fans.

If I do close the forum in the future, I will maintain the grimmforum.com domain name, and ensure there's still an online community for us so we can all still keep in touch and discuss about Grimm. It won't be a closure of the site itself or the online community, but may be the end for the forum system and how the current site operates. Of course, this could change depending on whether there's a future spinoff or there's renewed interest in the show that results in greater activity on the forum. The main reason I have been contemplating these changes is because it is a lot of work to maintain the forum and there is not as much activity as there use to be. At the same time, I know there are a number of dedicated regular members that still visit the site, and I don't want to see the discussions that occurred over the years or the community to go away. So I am committed to keeping the discussions archived and to ensure there's still an online community for us all to keep in touch.

This forum has been up since the start of Grimm, and over the years, there have been a lot of intense discussions. I do hope we can keep these discussions archived and available for current and future Grimm fans. And as I said, I will keep the site up for at least another year, so it's not going away any time soon. Anyway, I am posting this thread to get an idea of how many members may be interested in helping me get the discussions archived. If interested, please do respond below. Thank you for all the years, and regardless of what happens to the forum portion, I look forward to keeping the online community going for many more years.

Thank you for updating the forum!

I can't commit to a huge workload, but if I can help occasionally, I will be glad to. I will, of course, need some instructions.
