This is the part that I disliked about Nick. I don't recall if it was me that coined the term "doofus' to Nick or just agreed with the label. Either way, what you stated above is why I agreed to place the doofus label on him. He was way way too forgiving.

There is another main character on an ongoing series I attached the same "doofus" label. That would be Rick on the show, The Walking Dead. Interesting on how both characters just have a one letter differences in the name, Rick-Nick?

After what his best friend Shane did to Rick, including him preventing the demise of his wife and kid. It had to take his wife, Lori's uncanny admission to Shane about the possibility of him being the father of her baby. In turn, it finally pushed Shane to attempt kill Rick, but Rick stepped up to the plate and killed Shane, instead.

This is were the similarity ended. After the whole BC scenario, and Eve's contribution and usefulness came to an end, Nick should had done to Evette, what Rick did to Shane by gutting the bastard. But Nick never stepped up to the plate. So, in conclusion, the 'doofus' award between these two characters, Nick & Rick, Nick is the winner!

Even thought I have written it in my posts, it seems forgiveness is an alien concept in this series.
