I agree because I honestly did fear they were going there until the middle of the final season. Instead, they just had Nick with Juliette then with Adalind. There was no triangle so that's one of the things the show pleasantly surprised me on.

I am forever mad that they did NOT keep Juliette dead at the end of s4!

Yes, that and an actual reunion between Nick and Eve.

The aliens would have sucked as well, they almost went there when Monroe showed the gang the wesen constellations.
