You need to go back further than that. It was Adalind who killed Marie. But to make sure Adalind came out all right, Nick was not even a teeny bit impacted by his aunt's death. The aunt who raised him. Yet when the egg donor Kelly was killed, all of the sudden Nick's on a killing rampage? Even back then there was major bias in the story.
What do you mean by "make sure Adalind came out all right"? Do you believe the writers had planned this whole story arc since the before the first episode and did anything they could shield Adalind? Adalind was to suppose to be in the pilot only and then they liked the characters so they added her in as they went a long. This has been stated multiple times by G&K. The pregnancy story line was a last minute add in. Adalind's redemption wasn't planned since the pilot.
And Adalind has been blamed for her actions and rightfully so, but she got more of the blame than Renard, the one who ordered everything. Look at your comment "It was Adalind who killed Marie." Not Adalind and Renard. Adalind attempted to kill her Marie but failed, Marie was already dying of cancer and was in the hospital because someone else (not Adalind) attacked her and she was in a deep coma. The priest attack caused her death along with the stress from the first attack that put her in the hospital and her cancer.

Just as Monroe left, a man dressed as a priest entered Marie's room and attacked her, but she fought back. Nick arrived in time to see Marie kill the fake priest with the knife she always carried, but her body gave out from the stress, and she died in Nick's arms.
True, had Mari not had cancer and been going through the treatments. She most likely would have survived the attack. But to say the cancer killed her is inaccurate. It was the man Adalind sent to kill her.

I say that Adalind and Sean sent the fake priest to try to kill Maria and the combination of the stress of the attack and the cancer killed her. We could be saying the same thing?

I think its because they both exhausted their last forces in the fight.
I would say that the Following generations may be stronger- Nick, Trubel, Adalind, Diana, Kelly.

Aunt Marie's death doesn't change the fact that Adalind slept with Nick to get her child back because they kidnapped the her. Everything that happened after is a direct result of taking Diana. Rosalee even says it in an episode.

Yes, G&K are such noble truth tellers, (NOT). But in answer to your question, yes, I do think the series was biased in favor of Adalind from day 1.

Adalind is not better than Juliette. And if Adalind would not do it, nothing of it would ever happen. Both did things which weren't okay.

Cause all things which lead Juliette to be a Hexenbiest. Steal Juliette her boyfriend...And get away with all, so yes she would be favorable treated.
