Did Elizabeth Lascelles create an alternate reality? - irukandji - 02-26-2017

I was thinking about last week's episode with Sean and Diana. While it was fun watching him do nothing while Diana tormented Grossante, it also seemed characteristically unlike Sean.

And this raises a question in my mind. We know from the scoobies' dialogue that Elizabeth created a portal when she brought Sean back to life. Jack the Ripper hitched a ride and then the scoobies had to find a way get rid of him.

But going back to Sean, he was dead and would have remained so had Elizabeth not intervened. Did Elizabeth change the flow of time and create an alternate reality by bringing Sean back?

According to the alternate reality theory, we create alternate timelines every time we make a decision. Choosing the steak instead of the fish the last time you went out for dinner created one.

With the exception that our decisions don't involve bringing someone back to life who died. If Sean had died and remained dead, most of what we see on Grimm would not have happened.

Well, nobody's decisions outside of fiction involve bringing dead people back to life.

Mostly, the butterfly effect would have our seemingly trivial decisions having the eventual effect of saving people who would otherwise would have died or killing people who otherwise would not have died.

We could also argue that if Sean had listened to Kelly and killed Weston Steward when she told him to, none of those events would have taken place.

You do have a point...Renard without intervention would have stayed dead..when Jack the Ripper kept popping up there was a portal he kept coming out of at 1st trying to grab Renard, until it got hold of Renard's body

but Unlike doctors who bring people back to life everyday even on Grimm...how ever you dod not have a moher who can stop tme and space to bring Sean back to life..so it could be possible..how ever if it was not for SEAN Diana would not been born and ..what would happen to people of Portland would be doomed.

Not to my thinking if anything change Grimm's reality it was the creation of Eve. To get Eve something somewhere had to change. To have a hexenbiest spirit show up out of nowhere. That door was opened somehow to let this happen. Now the why behind this thought Eve healed by the stick, Eve now see the other reality, and Eve draw the symbols in the tunnel after touching the stick a second time.

The cloth with its markings and the date they indicate existed long before anything any of the characters did.

But maybe if the stick hadn't been dug up the prophecy would have happened to that little town in the Black Forest instead of Portland...

If Sean had remained dead, hexenbiest Juliette/Eve would not have been created.

Except that then Monroe and Bud probably would've been killed by the Wesenrein.

Maybe maybe not. The definite is that Juliette would have never become a hexenbiest.
