I know Wu can become detective
But what rank in the police department Hank and Nick can raise to??? I only asked, because this episode will be eppy 6 when I think Renard does the right thing by WU , Hank and Nick ( after Breakfast in Be d eppy Miesner proves to Sean that the box in part did not work because he has not totally atone to him yes but the rest of the gang he didn't...I watch the scene between them when they arrive in Renard's office and things did not go well and Nick ,after the ugliness says so does that mean no commendations ?..If I am right Renard will award them in rank.....Grossante sees this and really more than ever wants revenge....on top of that does WU, HANK and Nick have to ask for the days off to go on a weekend vacation???I assume they have to get the time off for all 3 to leave at the same time???

Renard can't just reward someone to the title of detective. Wu first has to want to become a detective and pass a series of written and physical test.
The only thing Renard can do is give them some superficial metals.

Renard is stiil suffering delusions of grandeur. The Commander running the precinct would not be amused.
Wu appears to be the Sgt drecting other uniformed officers' tasks. Becoming a detective would not be a move up for him.

Hmmmm what if Renard is promoted to commander . what would that make Hank, Wu and Nick in the ranks???

Wu's next move up would be to Lieutenant.
If Nick and Hank are actually stating their real ranks when they introduce themselves as "Detective," then their next move up would be to Sergeant.
If Renard was promoted to Commander, then he might actually be put in charge of an entire precinct the way he seems to think he is now.
People don't get promoted just because the next person above them gets promoted. Promotions don't work that way.
