Episode 2 was a setup episode so what can we get from it - jsgrimm45 - 01-14-2017
Episode two was setting up Diana, the cloth. BC still has power, Trubel being recalled to HW, Hank/Wu in trouble, and Nick on the still on the run. Other thing Renard having a flashbacks to Meisner, a chart and the relic having more power than just healing?
So one can the relic do what even the person with control it wants, Nick wanted to heal Monroe and Eve, he wanted to get his friends out of trouble so did he control what he relic did? Is it only Nick or could any Grimm control it how about a hexenbiest? With control can Nick remove Adalind's ring?
So episode 2 was the setup what will be the answers?

The real point seems to me to have been to eliminate any other solution short of Nick snorting the hat. Although why it didn't occur to anyone to have have the FBI and Homeland Security swarm the city with federales pre-screened by HW sometime back around episode 521 and just disappear Renard and any other BC person they knew about off to Guantanamo Bay beats me.

We also have to remember Chavez was FBI so are there more wesen with the FBI and NPP is being handled by them? Didn't see this in episode 2 so that may still be on the table.

But there could be Wesen in the FBI and other government agencies who are actively working against BC and Renard’s attempted takeover that we might see later on.

There's no need to have wesen in the FBI investigation. What's needed is HW or HW-allied people in the FBI investigation.
