RE: S04E09 – Wesenrein - New Guy - 07-22-2016 Hi Forum, This episode (S04E09 – Wesenrein) was decent entertainment. It move several plots forward. Two pieces interested me: 1. There were two precursors about Juliette's transformation into Hexenette. The episode begins with her still screaming about seeing her hexenbiest face in the mirror. Then as she walks into the bedroom, pictures of Nick and her begin to shatter leaving glass shards everywhere. That may have been symbolic foreshadowing of the destruction of her relationship with Nick and the glass shard barrage from Bonaparte that would have killed her except for the healing stick miracle. Hexenette's dream of murdering Rosalee foreshadows the path of murder and mayhem she will soon follow. She intended to fulfill her dream in 4.22 when she said "goodbye Nick" and was about to rip out his throat. 2. Nick and Hank initiated Wu into the Wesen/Grimm world. There has been much discussion about Nick not following Police Procedure. After they return from the trailer to the precinct Renard made two comments about procedure: Quote:[Nick lets go of Shaw, and his normal skin tone returns moments later. He and Hank then leave the room to watch from the other room as Renard walks in with Shaw on the ground struggling to recover]What Renard calls "a more primal law" is what I the Court of Grimm with Nick serving as judge, jury and executioner. Renard will likely use primal law once he becomes Mayor. Then later: Quote:Renard: Monroe was taken by a Wesen hate group called Wesenrein. It is Renard telling Wu that he, Nick and Hank are okay about pushing a little outside normal police procedure. IMO that was an understatement. They go way outside normal police procedure. That is why the show is Grimm, not PPD Blue. New Guy RE: S04E09 – Wesenrein - jsgrimm45 - 07-22-2016 As @New Guy says this episode start most of season 4 storyline. Wu was in IMO the best part of the episode as he learn about wesen. I liked the trailer scene with Hank and Nick. Putting Monroe in trouble and letting Nick work to help him was a good change of pace also. They had been friends for a time but this showed how far Nick would go for a friend. We may see this wesen link highlighted in season 6 where Nick may need help. RE: S04E09 – Wesenrein - syscrash - 07-22-2016 Why do you give Nick all the credit. Juliette broke the case by finding Ackerman sister.
