something is off with Renard...excepting all this revolution stuff and following orders from a out sider, when he was not listening to the Royal family. There is a missing piece, I just can't see Renard coming second fiddle to BC. Renard is going to be mayor he does not need BC anymore. Now that would be a awesome cliffhanger you would not see coming

One other possibility: if Renard really is as high up in the BC hierarchy as HW has him on their org chart, he could be planning to take down Lucien and the as yet unseen Lydia Minoru, after which only Bonaparte would stand between him and the top spot in BC.
