RIP Richard Attenborough - wfmyers1207 - 08-24-2014

Darn it, yet another legend gone. Sad Another fine actor and member of the cast of "The Great Escape" has left us. Let us not forget the many fine films he produced and directed as well. 2014 needs to ease up. We are losing way to much legendary talent way to quickly. Sad

Ditto to all of the above, gave a magnificent turn as the scientist in Jurassic Park, and as a director of Gandhi it is still one of the best biopics ever made in my opinion.Sad

He was also in Miracle On 34th Street in 1994. R.I.P

Even though I loved him in Jurassic Park and many other film roles, I really had no idea he was such a distinguished citizen and gentleman. In reading of his biography I was so impressed by the many honors and titles he received during his lifetime, by his service as a pilot in the RAf, and most importantly, his public and community service. What a lovely and well-lived life.

Very sad to hear about this, he was great in Jurassic Park, brings back nostalgia. He was 90 at his passing, and I think it's good knowing that he lived a long life.

It's amazing how many people quietly go about service... Richard, you will be missed.
